    1. Hi Aldrich. The five digit branch code is the last 3 digits of your TIN. If you’re an individual with no business with branch your last 3 digits in your TIN should be 000. Therefore, just put five zeros (00000), same with the sample.

      1. Oh my god, i already paid my 2551M and i put 064 on the branch code, but i still received a text message that i paid succesfully. what will gonna happen to my payment? but i still have ref. no. of my payment. what should i do? i paid many times using 064 as branch code.

  1. Hi just have a question. I have input 090117 for my return for september what will happen to this error? Do i need to pay again for the month of september and must input 093017?

  2. Another question, I have input RDO code in paying my Percentage Tax thru gcash. Will this be invalid? How can I refund my payment? I thought RDO code is a branch code.

  3. Hi George. After filing online using ebirforms and paying thru Gcash, do I need to submit a copy of the form at the BIR office?

    1. Hi Rina, it depends on the Tax Return that you file and pay. For those who have attachments like the Income Tax Return with Financial Statements, you need to submit a copy to the BIR. For BIR Form 1601C, 1601E, 2551M and 2550Q, no need to submit a copy to the BIR. Online filing via eBIRForms and online payment via Globe Gcash is enough. Make a backup copy of the Gcash payment reference.

  4. hello sir , what do you mean Return Period? , I want to pay my tax on my September 2017 percentage tax, and likely it will be filed this October 2017 right?

    1. Hi Troy. Correct for October 2017 Percentage tax. The deadline is on November 20, 2017. For the Return Period, choose October 31, 2017.

  5. How can I avoid an open case through GCash payment? Some said it is because of the delay in processing that’s why they had an open case.

    1. Hi Hanna, You may want to pay it 3 days before the deadline. But what is important is you pay it on or before the deadline. You can always show to the BIR the Gcash payment reference with the date that you pay it on or before the deadline for them to rectify the open cases.

  6. What return period should I indicate for the 3rd quarter income tax? Is it November 15? Will pay 1701Q using GCash for the first time.

    1. The 3rd Quarterly Income Tax Return 2017 is your income and expenses for the month of July – September 2017. The return period that you input should be September 30, 2017.

  7. Hi George,
How do you identify your branch code in BIR? I use my personal tin for my business. It does end with 000, then its correct assumption that my Branch Code is 00000 as well?

This GCASH has really confused business owners like me. The RDO code is usually what is being asked when filing.

    1. Hello Clarisse, You’re correct. The last 3 digits of your TIN is what you will input in the five digit branch code. For 000, Branch Code should be 00000. For TIN ending 825, Branch Code should be 00825.

      1. Hi sir i just want to ask what rdo code i should use when paying our tax of our business, i’am a sole proprietor my tin is ending 000 our branch rdo code is 005… what shoud i use 00005 or 00000? Tnx

    1. Hi Nel! The 3rd Quarterly Income Tax Return 2017 is your income and expenses for the month of July – September 2017. The return period that you input should be September 30, 2017.

  8. Hi, I’m currently trying to pay my 3rd quarterly tax. I put all the info and the app crashes. Is there another way I can pay thru gcash?

  9. Hi clarisse, the last 3digets of your TIN to be used for branch code must be the 10th, 11th and 12th digit of your TIN That indicates the number business branches you have. For single branch / lone biznez entity that digits are 000. In your case 825 i doubt its the 7th 8th and 9th digit. That should not be the case. Pls check youq COR . If 825 are the 10th 11th and 12digit, it means that is your 825th branch store. Correct me if im wrong. Thank you.

  10. Hi! I am having a problem using Gcash to pay my monthly percentage tax. I selected 2550 form series. After confirming, I keep on getting a prompt message: Invalid form series. Please help. Thank you!

  11. Hi George ,I hope you could help me with this. I’m paying for my monthly percentage tax for Dec 2017 and I can’t get through. It says “invalid form series”. I checked my inputs like form series, return period, and TIN which are all correct but still can’t get trough. I don’t know whats wrong. Thanks.

  12. Hi. Can someone enlighten me on why I get “INVALID FORM SERIES” when I try to pay my 2551M tax return for Dec. 2017 through GCASH? Thanks!

  13. Hi! I tried paying my taxes via Gcash but every time i press confirm, its always saying “Invalid form series”. What went wrong?

  14. Hi
Anyone encountered an issue paying 1601E with an error

    “Invalid Form Series”

Tried to pay it today but keeps giving me the same error message.

  15. Good news for you guys! Globe Gcash App is now working. I’ve also encountered the “Invalid Forms Series Error”. I tried to pay my registration fee today January 11, 2018, and it went successful. For those who still encounter problems, just pay it to the bank to prevent penalties.

  16. Hi,

Ask ko lang, mali kasi yung nalagay kong branch code sa gcash ko.

Ano pedeng gawin? Ever since 2016 nag gcash na ko e.

    Hayst. Need help talaga.

    1. Hi KC, you may call your RDO for that matter. Hoping they will be considerate on your problem.

          1. Hi sir, I have a small business and ending ng branch code ko is 001, if 5 digits ang needed to fill up sa gcash, anong # idadagdag ko?

  17. Hi I make a payment last September 20, 2017 for the 2551M but today BIR said that no payment was posted on the BIR system. What come to my payment if wala ngreflect?Kalokohan ng GCash hindi naman pala pumapasok.

  18. All my Gcash payments for 2017 were not posted at BIR’s system. I provided them with all the transaction reference # but it doesn’t help much. I can’t get a tax clearance because of this problem. So my advice is: just pay straight to the authorized banks!

    1. Hi HD. Did they not honor the payment reference? Even payments to authorized banks will not guarantee that no open case will reflect. Whether you pay it thru online or in Authorized Agent Banks, what is important is you have the proof of payment and the proof of filing.

  19. Hi, I’m filing my consolidated ITR (1700) for 2017 via GCash, what do I put in the return period?

    Thanks

  20. can I pay thru gcash the taxes of my clients (ie RDO 003) if I am a practitioner here (ie RDO 008)? will that cause any “wrong district” technically speaking later?

    1. Yes, you can pay for your clients. I don’t think it will cause any wrong venue filing. Their guidelines said you may use it for any taxpayer as long the TIN is correct.

  21. Hi, Sir! Will it matter po if yung nalagay ko sa form 1700 ko for return period is yung deadline sa April 16, 2018? And another question po, ano po yung ilalagay dun sa payment section ng form 1700 na may nakalagay na number, is that for the phon number, or reference number nung payment sa GCASH?

    Thank you po!

    1. I recommend that you pay through an authorized agent bank for tax penalties after the penalty was computed by your BIR RDO.

  22. Hello George,

I paid monthly 2551m using g cash for the month of Jan and Feb. However, it was not yet filed on eBir? is my payment going to be invalid?

  23. HI, ask ko lang how long will it take to post the Gcash payment in BIR system?
Do you have any problem or open cases with regards to BIR Gcash payment? First time ko kasi mag try using Gcash.

    Thanks.

    1. Hi. For me, what’s important is the proof of payment. Based from their guidelines, you may pay on the deadline date. Even paying through banks will not ensure that you will not encounter open cases. What is important is you have the proof of payment and you pay on or before the deadline.

  24. Hi George,
    BRANCH CODE
For TIN (branch) ending in 123 or 001, the branch code should be 00123 or 00001, respectively, am i right?
For individuals, that’s 00 plus the last 3 digits of the 12 digit TIN, it should be 00000, is this correct?

  25. Hi.. ask ko lang po, if i pay thru gcash and send a copy at ebirform and a confirmation email was sent back to my email. so, do i still need to bring the hard copy to Bir like in the bank, they get 2 copies of the forms or no need. thanks in advance.

    1. Hi Carl. It will depend on the BIR Form. For BIR Form 2551Q, no need to submit the hard copy to the BIR.

  26. Hi Sir, just to clarify. Grab operator po kasi ako at the same time, employed.anong branch code po ilalagay ko? 00000 parin po ba? dun po sa 12 digit TIN ko, 000 po last.

  27. Hi. I put branch code of 00000 kasi individual ako then i confirmed. then when i show it to my friend kasi first time ko, nakalagay 0000 yung RDO ko! there were no rdo code to be fill out at the first place and im worried na mawrong venue ako plus sayang binayad ko. shocks! please help me. thanks 🙂

    1. Hi Mich, tama naman na five zero (00000). Dahil hanggang five digits na ang ibang TIN kaya 5 digits ang nakalagay kay GCash. In your case the last 3/4 digits of your TIN is 000 or 0000. Tama na 00000 ang ilagay mo kay GCash every tax payment.

    1. Use BIR Form 0619E for the 1st and 2nd month of the quarter, BIR Form 1601EQ for the quarter.

      1. Hi, I am confused sa return period. Is it the deadline stipulated in your COR? Example for form 0619E, is it 11/10/2019 for the October remittance? Please respond. Thank you.

        1. Hi Juan,

The Return Period is the last day of the taxable period of the Tax Return you’re filing. For October 2019 0619E. The last day is October 31, 2019.
The Return Period is October 31, 2019.

  28. hi george ok lng ba na nagkamali ako sa return period ng year nailagay ko 3018 instead of 2018.
    anu po gagawin ko
    ty

    1. Hindi po okay. You may call the BIR for that matter. Save the proof of payment for future reference and make sure to double check all the entries before confirming the payment.

  29. Hi po! Is it okay to file my 2551Q now and make the payment on the next day or does it have to be paid on the same day? Thanks so much.

  30. Hi. Just want to thank you for the info you shared. Great job! Your explanations clarified a lot of things I am confused with. Hope you continue helping others.

  31. Hi. I’m a freelancer and I already payed quarterly percentage tax thru GCASH. I received my receipt, too from Globe but how will I verify it in the BIR? Is there any online way or website to check it? How will I know if I have penalties or unpaid taxes? Thank you so much. Your blog is a big help!

    1. Hi. You may verify it in your RDO. You will have to request for an Open Case report to see if there are tax returns that you missed to file.

  32. Hi good day Sir! What if I just paid the 2550Q via Gcash and not able to send via email (for that I don’t have the Tax Return Receipt Confirmation), is it still credited and received at BIR?

  33. Hi ? 12 digits po ang TIN Number right including the last digits of 000 ? if 9 digits lang po so dko po isasama yung last digit na pang 12 (000) ?

  34. Hello, I’m about to pay my 2551Q thru Gcash, but I’m not sure what to enter in the return period part. I filed for the 2nd quarter tho. Can somebody help me? Thanks.

  35. Hello po. Ano po ilalagay ko sa Return Period? Kasi po magbabayad po sana ako mg percentage tax for decond quarter. Hope youd see this. And also, im a freelance translator po. 00000 din po ba ying branch code ko? Hehe. Thank you po.

    1. Hi Alyanna. Yes, five 00000.

For Freelancers, I recommend the 8% option. But since you use the 3% percentage tax this year. You can only use 8% option next year.

  36. Hi George, i got no question but just want to say thanks for the info you provided and for answering most of the questions posted, even if some of them have been answered before. Out of all the ‘bir payment thru gcash articles’ i’ve read, this is the most helpful and simple to understand. thanks and much appreciated.

  37. Hi i just made a youtubevid for this and late ko na po kase nabasa yung blog ninyo… ung branch code po ba is same with rdo code? I placed 046 po kse taga cainta ako? Is there going to be a problem with that? Salamat po individual lang po business ko or self employed . Thank u for any corrections

    1. Hi Mears. Branch Code is the last 3 digits of your TIN sa BIR Certificate of Registration (COR). Five digits 00000 po ang tamang ilagay. Make sure nalang po na tama na sa future payments.

  38. Thank you. You just helped me pay via GCASH Bec of the branch code. GCash app prod me of an error if I include the 001 suffix of the TIN. I had to append the excess to the Branch Code part, which I normally had to enter 00000. Now I Have to enter the 00001, as the 2nd branch of the same TIN.

  39. Hi Sir George, Thank you so much for putting this up in the internet, such a huge help for freelancers and small businesses!
Anyway I paid my 2551Q for 2nd quarter and put June 30, 2019 as return period is that correct? I just get a little confusion but based on my understanding, return period for gcash payment is the last day of the quarter you are paying for? Am i correct?

Again, thank you so much sir! More power and God bless po 🙂

  40. Hi Sir George,

Good day! Can I also use this when paying for may Annual Returns? (consolidated) filed via EBIR.. and do I need to submit copies to BIR after payment?

    Thanks!

    1. Yes, you may use it for paying Annual ITR. If you have supporting documents that needed to submit, such as Audited Financial Statements. You have to submit it to the BIR. If none, you don’t have to submit any.
